Nanouk Leopold writes and directs this Dutch drama. Set in rural Zeeland, the story follows middle-aged farmer Helmer (Jeroen Willems) as he cares for his elderly father (Henri Garcin). But growing tired of his loneliness, Helmer moves his ailing father upstairs to create his own apartment and clears out his late brother's room for incoming young farmhand Henk (Martijn Lakemeier). While he is also fascinated with milk-truck driver Johan (Wim Opbrouck), Helmer finds himself repressing his desires due to the continued presence of his father.
