Dutch coming-of-age drama based on the 1963 children's novel 'Oorlogswinter' by Jan Terlouw. In the final days of World War Two, fourteen-year-old Michiel (Martijn Lakemeier) rebels against his father, the town mayor, by becoming involved with the underground resistance movement after discovering the escaped pilot from a crashed British fighter plane.
