William Wyler directs this classic romantic war drama based on Jan Struther's novel. Kay Miniver (Greer Garson) is the mother of a middle-class English family whose comfortable existence is shattered when World War II breaks out. Life goes on in spite of air raids, rationing and sons at the front, but the war is brought closer than ever when Mrs. Miniver captures a German pilot. The film won six Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Writing, Screenplay and Best Actress in a Leading Role (Garson).
