Film adaptation of Joyce's epic 'day-in-the-life' novel, by writer and director Joseph Strick. Leopold Bloom (Milo O'Shea) is a gentle husband who is cuckolded by his adulterous wife Molly (Barbara Jefford). He encounters Stephen Dedalus (Maurice Roeves) in a state of inebriation at a local maternity ward and the pair go off to a Dublin red-light district, where they are both beset by curious phantasms.
