In the grips of delirious illusion Anna a young gentle and shy young woman convinces herself that Doctor Zanevsky is fervently in love with her. Nothing can shake her certainty... But after hope will come resentment followed by hatred...
The sexual revolution of the 1960s culminated in Dr David Reuben's Everything You Wanted To Know About Sex (But Were Afraid To Ask), published in 1969. That same year, Krlekens Sprk (The Language of Love) was released in Sweden, a sexually explicit sex education film based on clinical research made by American and Swedish doctors. Controversy surrounded the release - to many it was little more than sexploitation masquerading as scientific study. It was denied entrance into the US, and here in the UK 30,000 protestors marched in London demanding the film be banned. Eventually granted a certificate four years later. 40 years on, The Language Of Love remains an important historical insight into the sexual behaviour of an equally important period of social change, and is rightly described as the mother of all sex education films.

It's been half a decade since the daddy of bawdy bedroom humour David Dhawan delivered a good coarse consignment of fun yet cock-n-bull cinema. And in that vein (and I repeat strictly in that vein) Kumar - the artiste formerly known as `Indy Irani' (Beta Dil) - with Masti fills a space and succeeds in an enthralling mindless armchair frolic. This out-n-out sex farce vaguely borrowed from Billy Wilder's The Seven Year Itch (but closer to Ravi Malhotra's Khel Khel Mein and E Niwas's Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega) concerns three married-for-money delinquents (Oberoi Shivdasani Deshmukh) who venture out to hook up with 'chicks' outside their respective hen-pecked holes. The obvious results are comedies of error. And the most unfortunate of the escapades is how unbeknownst to them they land up with the dead body of their common 'lust-interest' (Lara Dutta) to get trailed by a tough cop (Ajay Devgan - oh what a pointless role). Some sumptuous gay gags which have become conspicuous in Bollywood of late. Presumably to elicit that senseless smile is the purpose of this picture. Leave your gray cells at home keep your cellphone for song breaks and step cautiously into this often no-holds-barred Carry On series styled sex comedy strictly for adults. You'd go home with a grin.

Long out-of-circulation and unavailable on home-video, Jean-Luc Godard's 1964 masterpiece Une femme marie, fragments d'un film tourn en 1964 en noir et blanc [A Married Woman: Fragments of a Film Shot in 1964 in Black and White] has, until now, represented the ostensibly 'missing' key work from the first, zeitgeist-defining phase of JLG's filmography. The feature which bridges the gap between Bande part and Alphaville, Une femme marie is, nevertheless, a galaxy, or gallery, unto itself — a lucid, complex, profoundly funny series of portraits, etched with Godardian acids, of the wife that represents either a singular case, or a universal example, of ''a''/''the'' married woman, and the men in her orbit. Macha Mril (later of Pialat's Nous ne vieillirons pas ensemble, and Varda's Sans toit ni loi) plays Charlotte — the title character. She's married to aviator Pierre (Philippe Leroy, of Becker's Le Trou). She sleeps with thespian Robert (Bernard Nol). She talks intelligence with renowned critic-filmmaker Roger Leenhardt, and takes part in a fashion-shoot at a public pool. The fragments of the film's subtitle are chapters, episodes, vignettes, tableaux; Une femme marie is a pile of magazines made into a film, and a film turned into a magazine — the table of contents reading: Alfred Hitchcock. Jean Racine. La Peau douce. A Peruvian serum. Nuit et brouillard. The Eloquence bra. The quartets of Beethoven. Madame Cline. Fantmas. Robert Bresson. Set in Berlin, film director Nina Bader wants to shoot a movie about love and sex and invites her actor-friends Hans and Marie for screen tests for a couple of days. For Nina love is not necessarily a matter of emotion - she is rather looking for an authentic depiction of sex. The intimate collaboration turns into experiments with film, love and bodies and finally has an impact on the private relationships between the three of them. It seems that the boundaries between acting and reality begin to disappear. At times shocking and explicit, Bedways is without doubt an unforgettable viewing experience.
