Vader was the first death metal band from behind the Iron Curtain to succeed on the world's most important music markets. Their ""Morbid Reich"" demo from 1990 is considered the best selling demo tape in the history of death metal. Now the lead singer of the alt country band The Old 97's (whose music featured prominently in the Jennifer Aniston/Vince Vaughn film The Break Up) Rhett Miller's winning blend of pop charm rock attitude and country heart along with his movie star good looks draws the audience in as he strikes out on his own as a solo performer.
