A Generous Heart looks not only the music and films which made Elvis a star but also another side of his personality often overlooked - his enormous generosity. Throughout his career those that knew Presley were amazed by his consistent (and often unsung) kindness. For example Elvis was the single largest private contributor to the Pearl Harbour Memorial his legendary Aloha From Hawaii concert raised more than $75 000 for cancer research and in 1975 he gave a concert to raise funds for the victims of a tornado in his native state. This DVD examines his wonderful legacy of generosity.

Recorded in Montreal in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience the band present their impressive potential as a live force keeping fans and media alike in suspense for two hours leaving the stage at the end of a furious performance like heroic gladiators: victorious happy and celebrated frenetically. Let's start with the fact that Hell Yeah! includes not only the 120-minute Montreal concert with its 18 songs (among them classics such as 'No World Order' 'Man On A Mission' 'Valley Of The Kings' 'Somewhere Out In Space' 'Land Of The Free' and 'Rebellion in Dreamland') but also a Gamma Ray history a worthwhile road movie and unplugged sequences featuring Kai Hansen and Henjo Richter in Japan. In addition there are a total of seven video clips from different stages of the band's career and two live cuts from the W:O:A shows 2003 and 2006. The package is rounded off by a 40-minute bonus DVD with recordings from Barcelona and a road movie shot during the 'Hellish Rock' tour in Spain. Adds up to impressive five hours plus of playing time altogether. Band leader Kai Hansen looks back at Gamma Ray's first American tour with pride and great joy saying: We had played in the States only once before so this was our first headliner tour of America. Of course we had no idea what exactly to expect but the reactions were overwhelming. The tickets sold extremely well and the atmosphere was amazing night after night. Duke Ellington is one of the towering figures in jazz history. As a piantist band leader and composer for five decades he recorded an astonishing body of work that is still being listened to enjoyed assessed and copied today. And the man had style. And his band could swing. Ellington kept his large band together for over forty years and used to write specifically to highlight the talents of his band members many of whom remained with him for long periods like sax players Ben Webster and Johnny Hodges. Duke also wrote film scores musicals and several of his instrumental works were adapted into songs that became popular standards. Duke's music has stood the test of time and is a brief reminder of this elegant genius. Tracklisting: 1. Take The A Train 2. Satin Doll 3. Stormy Weather 4. Blow By Blow 5. Jam With Sam 6. The best live performances from the first series of The Tube - the groundbreaking and anarchic Friday night music programme hosted by Jools Holland and - the late - Paula Yates. As well as featuring up-and-coming acts The Tube also played host to a number of well-established groups giving live performances which for the most part have not been seen since their original transmission and have never been released in any format before now. The live spirit of the series (first broadcast on Bonfire Night 1982) is further underlined with the inclusion of live interviews and behind the scenes footage as well as original linking sequences from Jools and Paula. Including sets from The Jam (in their last performance) Culture Club Robert Palmer Soft Cell Iggy Pop Depeche Mode The Stranglers Thin Lizzy Madness The Eurythmics The Undertones and U2.
