  2012-2013 was another rollercoaster season for Newcastle United and how many times have we said that. Alan Pardew's side were hard hit by injuries throughout a difficult season but rallied when they had to and the points they picked up on the road in the last few weeks of the season eventually saw them reach the 40-point mark and with it safety a chance to put 2012/13 behind them and the opportunity to build for the next campaign.
