• No Offence | DVD | (10/08/2015) from £4.99   |  Saving you £15.00 (300.60%)   |  RRP £19.99

AS SEEN ON CHANNEL 4 Joanna Scanlan (The Thick of It, Getting On), Elaine Cassidy (The Paradise, Harper's Island) and Alexandra Roach (The Iron Lady, Utopia) lead the unorthodox crack team of cops at the heart of Paul Abbott's NO OFFENCE, an outrageous new police procedural series from the writer of Shameless and State of Play. Will Mellor (Dates, Broadchurch), Paul Ritter (Friday Night Dinner, The Game) and Colin Salmon (Arrow, 24: Live Another Day), join them in the mix of tough but big-hearted bobbies who go above and beyond to bring down the criminal rabble in a crumbling cop-shop. Keeping these streets clean is a Herculean task, enough to demoralize even the keenest rookie but there's a reason why this hotchpotch of committed cops are on this force, on this side of town. Drug labs, arsonists, neo-Nazis and notorious murderers are all in a day's work for this close-knit team, led by the dizzyingly capable but unquestionably unhinged DI Vivienne Deering (Scanlan). But when a particularly twisted serial killer emerges it leaves even the most hardened of these seasoned coppers reeling. Flanked by her right-hand women the compassionate but impulsive DC Dinah Kowalska (Cassidy) and the recently (surprisingly) promoted DS Joy Freers (Roach) Deering and her team must crack this case by whatever unconventional means possible. Because amidst all the assorted low life; the pimps, the petty thieves, and downright nasty bastards they've dealt with, this is their most disturbing case yet, one that will touch their lives in ways they could never expect. The cast includes: Ste Johnston, Tom Varey (The Village), Neet Mohan (Fresh Meat), Saira Choudhry (Hollyoaks), Hannah Walters (This Is England), Charlie May-Clark (South Riding) and Kate O Flynn (Mr.Turner). This DVD comprises all 8 episodes of the series. NO OFFENCE is produced by AbbottVision.

The Young Pope Lenny Belardo (Jude Law), aka Pius XIII, is the first American Pope in history. Young and charming, his election might seem the result of a simple and effective media strategy by the College of Cardinals. But, as we know, appearances can be deceptive. Especially in the place and among the people who have chosen the great mystery of God as the guiding light of their existence. That place is the Vatican and those people are the leaders of the Catholic Church. And the most mysterious and contradictory figure of all turns out to be Pius XIII himself. Shrewd and naïve, old-fashioned and very modern, doubtful and resolute, ironic, pedantic, hurt and ruthless. The New Pope Two-time Academy Award ® nominees John Malkovich and Jude Law star in Academy Award® winner Paolo Sorrentino's stunning vision for the world of the modern papacy. Written and directed by internationally celebrated auteur Paolo Sorrentino, with co-writers Umberto Contarello and Stefano Bises, The New Pope marks Sorrentino s second series set in the world of the modern papacy. Pius XIII (Jude Law) is in a coma. After an unpredictable and mysterious time, the Secretary of State Voiello succeeds in the enterprise of having the charming, sophisticated and moderate English aristocrat Sir John Brannox (John Malkovich) placed on the papal throne with the name John Paul III. The new pope seems perfect, but he conceals secrets and a certain fragility. Quickly, he begins to realise that it will not be easy to replace the charismatic Pius XIII who, hanging between life and death, has become a Saint with thousands of faithful followers now idolizing him. Meanwhile, the Church is under attack from several scandals that risk irreversibly devastating the hierarchies of the Church, and the key principles of Christianity upon which they are based. As always, nothing is as it originally seems in the Vatican. Good and evil march arm in arm through this historic institution, right up until the final showdown...

Stephanie Beacham takes the title role in a drama of intrigue set in the cut-throat world of the rag trade. Her performance as a feisty fashion entrepreneur led directly to her phenomenal success in The Colbys and Dynasty, and dominates a series bristling with razor-sharp humour and boasting a plot full of surprises. Also starring Pam Ferris, George Costigan and Brenda Bruce, Connie was originally screened in 1985, and features a theme song co-written by the Oscar-nominated Willy Russell (Blood Brothers, Educating Rita). Eight years ago, Connie 'retired' to Greece to run a taverna with a local Adonis. Now, her return to her native East Midlands and the industry she loves sends ripples of fear through the dingy offices of her former rivals; they all guess, correctly, that she wants a slice of the action. But who will give her the all-important toehold? Her family and friends are no help and what nobody knows is that although Connie came back on a first-class ticket, she got off the plane wearing a simple cotton dress, nursing a bandaged hand and clutching a handbag containing nothing but tissues, a lipstick and ten drachma. The people who cheated on her, in or out of bed, had better watch out!
