The epitome of what a rock band should be. Guns 'N' Roses became the biggest group on the planet selling 50 million albums during their glory years alone. They created a unique sound and image that nobody has matched since and at the time it seemed like nothing could stop them. Subsequent developments have meant the best part of 15 years passing without any new material although they remain astonishingly popular. However the now legendary (yet still unreleased) Chinese Democracy al
Triple bill of films featuring the pop star Prince. In the semi-autobiographical musical 'Purple Rain' (1984), Prince plays an ambitious young musician struggling to win love and musical recognition in Minneapolis. 'Graffiti Bridge' (1990) is Prince's vehicle for his album of the same name. Also set in Minneapolis, the film stars Prince as The Kid, a nightclub owner who must fight his rival, Morris Day (played by himself), for the love of the beautiful Aura (Ingrid Chavez). In 'Under the Cherry Moon' (1986), Prince plays Christopher Tracy, an American playboy on the lookout for rich women on the French Riviera. Shot in black and white to evoke a 1940s feeling, the film follows the young musician as he finds true love with Mary Sharon (Kristin Scott Thomas in her debut film role), and so ends his wild days and nights of philandering.

He was 20, living in his car and he answered an ad looking for a Bass player, signed by someone called simply ˜Slash'. Soon after, the most dangerous band in the world was born. This is the story of one man's rise to the pinnacle of fame and fortune, his massive crash and burn...and then his phoenix-like return from oblivion. Michael McKagan, better known as Duff, lived the sex, drugs and rock n' roll lifestyle like no other. It eventually caught up with him and nearly killed him. Now for the first time, we get to see what he's done with his second chance at life. Based on the best-selling book, It's So Easy and Other Lies is a searing autobiographical documentary told through a unique book-reading concert performed by Duff and his new band Loaded. Featuring many of the Gunners most iconic songs and exclusive unreleased footage, it's a gut wrenchingly honest, poignant and inspiring journey through the G'N'R legend.

The footage for this DVD was shot over three nights at Brixton Academy last August as part of the phenomenal Life For Rent tour, which saw Dido playing to over half a million people in total. The shows represented something of a triumphant homecoming for Dido as Brixton was one of the venues she visited regularly when she was younger. In addition to the DVD, the package includes a fantastic bonus audio CD featuring 12 of the 17 tracks from the DVD. This disc includes all the massive hits such as "White Flag", "Thank You" and "Here With Me". The DVD footage was shot and mastered in high definition and is available in 5.1 surround sound, whilst the audio has been mixed by Bob Clearmountain who is widely regarded as one of the most experienced and highly regarded sound technicians.
The hits you know and love from the greatest entertainer Britain has ever seen.
Since Tisto's Elements of Life World Tour concerts are supported by a vast array of modern equipment the venue for the DVD recording had to be large enough to handle the full scale of the show. The Parken Stadium in Copenhagen Denmark turned out to be an excellent location to shoot the footage for the DVD. With a little over 25 000 people attending the gig and enjoying the music of Tisto the atmosphere captured on video gives a fantastic impression of what the Elements of Life World Tour is all about.

Muse have stormed into the public eye in recent years with albums offering an onslaught of guitars, keys and drum riffs that hark back to the days of 1970s prog-rock. Hullaballo shows them at their best, within an energetic live performance of the kind that first drew them to the public and media's attention. Filmed towards the end of their intense 2001 tour at Le Zenith, Paris, this gig is full of high-powered chords and dramatic instrument torture as the lads pump through songs from their three albums including tracks from the B-side album Hullaballo, released to coincide with the DVD. From "Sunburn" and "New Born" to the finale of "Bliss", the band powers through a 90-minute set filmed from a multitude of angles. The montage of audience vs stage action offers not so much a sense of being at the gig in person, more an omnipresent sensation, getting up close and personal with the band while being hit by an onslaught of colours and split frames. The camera does tend to fall out of focus on occasions, but this just complements the raw sound of the gig. 2001 was not just Muse's year but the year when British rock gained a much-needed injection of energy after years of indie shoegazing. On the DVD: Hullaballo is offered with a DTS or Dolby 5.1 surround sound, which can only lead to one thing: air guitar in the living room. Along with the 16:9 picture format, this DVD really does blow you away with the sheer power of the band's live performance. Disc one offers the concert footage along with track listings allowing you to flip to your favourite song. Disc two offers a selection of extra features and footage. The worst of these is the 40-minute film on the band's on and off-stage shenanigans, which looks as if a film student had just found a "cool" new feature on his digital camera (though the superb impression of Slipknot is not to be missed). The "Discography" is truly unique as it doesn't just list the albums, it also plays excerpts. The "Front Cover" section offers a host of magazine cover shots showing just how far the threesome have come in the past year; not just in Britain but across the world. --Nikki Disney
